The Thérèse Moorkens Foundation is a public utility institution established on December 7, 1992 in memory of Thérèse Moorkens, a wife, a mother and a great lady who, during her fight against the disease with determination, had decided to devote herself entirely to cancer patients and help them in their struggle by giving them as much moral support as possible. Her family, together with the help of her friends, set up the foundation so that her will would happen.
